When a screen, a step or a flow changes, it is listed here with its date, and the help pages are updated to match.

19 October 2026

  • Loyalty and Offers are coming soon; Ratings and the QR poster are ready to use.
  • Book several services at once. Customers can choose up to 3 services in one booking, done one after the other by one person. If nobody does them all, they book one now and the rest after. Confirm, You’re booked, Find my booking and Manage list each service with its time and price, one offer and one total; a move keeps them together. See Several services in one booking.
  • New booking with several services. New booking in the app takes up to 3 services in one visit, done one after the other by one person: tap Add another service, With lists only the people who do them all, and the free times are for the whole visit. See New booking.
  • Several services in the app. A booking of several services shows each service with its time, length and price, the offer and the total. Lists, Today and the calendar name it Haircut + Colour (or Haircut + 2 more), and Reschedule offers only people who do every service. See Today.
  • Services in emails. Booking emails to customers and to you list each service of a booking of several services under Services, with its time and length. WhatsApp, SMS and push messages name the booking by its short name, such as Haircut + Colour.
  • Photos for services, courts and tables. Add up to 3 photos to each service, sport, court and table, under Photos (optional). Your booking page shows the first one beside it, and customers can tap to see them all. Hold and drag a photo, or use Make first, to change the order; Replace photo and Remove photo are on the … menu. Pictures must be at least 600 px on the short side. Customers see a strip of your tables’ photos on the party size step, never a table’s name or area, and only for tables with hours at that branch. A removed photo can stay on a customer’s phone for up to a day. See Add and edit a service, Courts and Tables.
  • The app on iPad. On an iPad or an Android tablet, in a window 700 wide or more, the bottom bar becomes a sidebar: Today, Bookings, Scan and Analytics (Activity for staff), then Business and Growth tools, Notifications and More, with you at the bottom. Bookings shows the list and the booking side by side and opens your next booking. Today shows two columns. The Calendar’s Day shows one column per person or court. Loyalty’s Members shows the list and the member side by side. On iPad mini held upright, lists show one at a time. Phones are unchanged, either way up. See On iPad.

  • Address and map. The address screen now starts with one search, Find your address. Pick a result and the lines fill in, with the map and its pin above them on a phone; drag the pin to your door and fix any line in place. • Send me offers, Stop offers and Book again. Customers can now say yes to offers: Send me offers from your business is a tick box on the booking page’s last step, off until they tick it. Every come-back message carries Stop offers (one tap, or the Unsubscribe button in their email app) and Book again, which opens your booking page. A come-back voucher such as GLOW-K7Q2 goes in Offer code (optional) and is checked when the customer confirms. See Offer codes.

  • Offers. Make offer codes, like RAYA20, in More → Offers (Pro and Business): a percent or an amount off, for every service or the ones you choose, with start and end dates, a minimum spend and limits per customer and in total. Pause a code any time and see who used it. See Offers.
  • Offer codes on the booking page. When an offer runs or starts later, the last step has Offer code (optional). Customers tap Apply to see the new price, or why the code doesn’t work. If the code can’t be checked, the booking still goes through at the full price and the code is kept on it. See Offer codes.
  • Offer codes at the counter. A booking shows its new price, the price before the offer and the code. Add a code a customer gives you at the counter or check a code that wasn’t checked (staff on their own bookings); owners and admins can also remove an offer. 9 October 2026

  • A new help page, A booking’s journey, shows every step a booking goes through in one picture: Request, Confirmed, Arrived and Done, and where it can stop on the way (Declined, Expired, Cancelled, No-show). Each step says who moves it on and what your customer gets.
  • More help pages now show their steps in one picture and fold the long details under each step, so each section starts with one short line: Sign up, Set up your business, Go live, Buying a plan, WhatsApp, SMS and email (with the rating ask, by WhatsApp or email), How customers book, Manage, reschedule and cancel, Invite someone and Booking rules. The two question pages are now one, Questions and answers, with every question folded. The old FAQs address opens it.
  • On a computer, a help page with a step picture now gives the picture the full width: the On this page list on the right is left out there, so each step reads in a line or two. Phones are unchanged.
  • The dashboard has a Theme choice at the bottom of the menu: Light, Dark or System. See The dashboard.
  • In Finish setting up on the dashboard, Invite your team has a Skip button. A skipped step shows Skipped with its own mark and counts as finished; Undo brings it back. If you invite your team later, it shows as done. See The dashboard.
  • A new Morning summary push comes 30 minutes before each branch opens. Owners and admins get one for each branch with today’s bookings, the requests that need your answer and the first booking. Staff get one a day with their own bookings, and none when nothing is booked. See Push notifications.
  • Switch it off in More → Notifications → Your day → Morning summary.
  • Tap the morning summary to open Today on that branch, scrolled to Needs your answer when a request waits.
  • To answer on Today’s day card now counts every request waiting for your answer, so it matches Needs your answer. See Today.
  • If you belong to more than one business, your phone now gets the notifications of all of them, whichever business it was set up in. A tap on another business’s notification switches to that business first.
  • A notification that pops up while the app is open now shows up to 2 lines of title and 3 lines of text.
  • Customers can now rate a visit: one to five stars and an optional comment, from a link in a message after the visit. Only your business sees the rating. See Rate a visit.
  • Owners and admins see every rating in More → Ratings, with the average and the low ones (1 to 3 stars) on their own tab; staff see the ratings of their own bookings. See Ratings.
  • A new Low rating push tells owners and admins about a rating of 1 to 3 stars. Tap it to open the rating. Switch it off in More → Notifications → Ratings.
  • More → Ratings is easier to read: the average with gold stars, the low ones of the last 30 days on a soft amber band, and each rating with the customer’s initials, the stars, the comment and the visit. See Ratings.
  • See the message shows the rating ask as the customer gets it: a WhatsApp chat from your business, or the email on its own tab. See Reviews and come-back.
  • Turn on the rating ask in More → Business profile → Reviews and come-back: choose how long after Done the message goes and add your Google review link. It is off to start. Ratings are part of Pro and Business. See Reviews and come-back.
  • Top up message credits on the dashboard. Credits never expire and are used after your plan’s monthly credits. Buy a pack of 100, 500 or 1,000 from the Message credits card on Billing, and get a receipt by email. See Top-up credits.
  • Plan & usage in the app shows your top-up credits and tells you when your credits run low. On Android, Top up opens the dashboard’s Message credits card. On iPhone, it tells you where to top up on the web.
  • New emails and pushes tell you when this month’s plan credits are used up and top-up credits are in use, when top-up credits run low and when they are used up.
  • Loyalty points. Customers see their points on Find my booking and on their booking’s page, after they enter the code sent to their phone. Their booking confirmed, reminder and rating ask emails add a line such as You have 120 points at your business. See Points and rewards.
  • Loyalty. Turn on points in More → Loyalty (Pro and Business): choose the points for each RM spent and for each visit, and customers get them when you mark a visit Done. A booking shows Earned 60 points, points expire after 12 months with no visit, and Reports shows points given, expired, adjusted and taken back for 30 days, 90 days or 12 months. With more than one branch, choose one balance for all branches or one per branch. See Loyalty, Turn on and earning, Points across branches and Reports.
  • Members and Undo Done. See each customer’s points, adjust them with a reason, and undo Done on a visit marked by mistake. See Members and adjusting points and Undo Done.
  • On iPhone, Plan & usage and the trial-end screen now say The account owner manages the plan from the WelcomeBird dashboard., with no web address, and a plan’s sheet no longer shows the top-up price. Android is unchanged. See Plans and trial.
  • On iPhone, the plans in Plan & usage and a plan’s details show no prices: each plan shows its name, who it is for and what it includes. Android and the dashboard still show prices. See Plans and trial.
  • Clearer top-up words in Plan & usage: on Android the row is Top up credits and says it opens Billing in your browser; on iPhone it says the account owner manages credits from the dashboard. See Top-up credits.

DEPLOY-DATE

  • A new Growth tools page lists Ratings, Branches, Loyalty, Offers and Come-back, each with its own mark and colour, the same as on your plan. Ratings and Branches are here now; the rest are coming. See Growth tools.
  • Online bookings are now unlimited on every plan, Free included.
  • Free now includes 2 staff and 50 message credits a month.
  • Message credits a month: Pro 500, Business 1,500.

8 October 2026

  • Your booking link now shows in full, starting https://, on the dashboard, and QR code opens the code large with your link and Download.
  • The QR poster has a Show https:// switch. It is off at first, so the printed link reads yourshop.welcomebird.com; turn it on to print https:// in front. The QR code works either way.
  • On the dashboard menu, Billing now sits under Overview, and Settings opens and closes with a tap. A box now says Not found yet when Check again finds no phone.
  • On Billing, the plans are easier to compare: each limit sits on one line across Free, Pro and Business, your plan is shaded, and the top-up price shows once below the plans.

Tabs on the booking page now switch

On a booking page with the Tabs template, tapping Services, Team or About now shows only that part of the page. The page link can open a tab directly, and Back goes to the tab before. See Booking page templates.

A friendlier plan sheet

On Plan & usage, tapping a plan opens a sheet that takes most of the screen, with the plan’s name and Close at the top while the rest scrolls under them. Swipe down or tap the page behind to close it too.

Zoom in on your QR poster

On QR poster, tap the preview to see it full screen and zoom in. Pinch or double-tap to zoom, and tap Close to go back. See Print your QR poster.

You can’t buy Pro or Business for now. On the dashboard’s Billing page, and in the app where See plans was, you see Upgrading to a paid plan opens soon. Your 14-day trial, Free, your invoices and receipts work as before. See Buying a plan.

Billing address in parts

Yearly saving in green

On the dashboard’s Billing page, 2 months free next to Yearly is now a green badge.

App coming soon

The WelcomeBird app is not in the stores yet. On the dashboard, on the invite page and on the page the dashboard’s QR code opens, the App Store and Google Play buttons now open Coming soon: The WelcomeBird app is coming soon to the App Store and Google Play., with Close. Scanning the QR code with a phone opens that page instead of a store, and its caption says the app is coming soon. See The dashboard.

Booking history

A booking’s History now lists every change, newest first: what happened, who did it, when, and from where (the app, the booking page, or the app itself). Automatic changes say why, for example Bookings here don’t need your OK. Tap a line for the details: When, Who, Before, After, Reason, Note and From. Owners and admins also see the messages the customer got for this booking, for example WhatsApp: booking changed. A moved booking keeps its earlier history. New lines include Started early, Asked to move to a time, Move not approved, Move request ran out of time, Move request withdrawn, Now with a person and At a table. See Booking history.

Plan limits, before you start

At your plan’s limit, Add branch, Add court, Add table and Add without login tell you first, in one line, for example Free plan: 1 branch. Invites are checked when you send them. Owners see the next plan up and See plans, which opens Plan & usage. See Plan limits.

Words that fit your business

Screens no longer mention courts or tables to a business that has none. A branch’s opening hours say where Auto comes from, for example Auto (from staff hours) or Auto (from table hours). A branch is named only when you have more than one.

Booking page templates

Choose your booking page’s colours and layout in More → Business profile → Template: twelve colour sets and five layouts (Classic list, Hero cover, Tabs, Category grid and Split with summary). Use this template changes your page at once, with Undo for a few seconds. Your page looks the same until you choose. Every layout keeps your contact details, Find my booking and a way to book.

  • Photos in More → Business profile opens the pictures on your page when you have one branch.
  • Service groups in More → Business profile → Services puts your services under headings, such as Hair and Colour.

See The dashboard.

Open More → Tables to add your tables with their seats and an area, and set Table rules: how long a table is kept for each party size and which parties need your OK. Customers pick how many people, a date and a time, and get the smallest free table that fits. They never see the table’s name.

  • Parties at or above your Parties that need your OK setting, 7 to start with, send you a request. Accept lets you Change table and Also hold more tables for the same party.

  • Moving a table booking to another table at the same time sends the customer no message and uses none from your plan.
  • Messages say Table for 4. Yours also name the table.
  • Analytics shows Covers and By table.

A business of another type sees no change. See Tables.

Booking a table

Customers of a restaurant can now book a table on its booking page, in four steps:

  1. Party size: how many people. Above the largest party, the page asks them to call the branch, or to contact the restaurant.
  2. Date & time: the times free for that many people, and how long the table is kept.
  3. Your details: name, mobile number and email, then tags such as Birthday or High chair, shared only with the restaurant.
  4. Confirm: they check the booking and type the code. The table is held only after the code, then booked.

Large parties (7 or more unless you change Parties that need your OK) send a request. If someone takes the time meanwhile, the page says That time was just taken and keeps their party, details and tags.

See Booking a table.

Table bookings: after booking

  • A restaurant that takes only table bookings shows Book a table on its booking page, and Book a table at the branch on each branch page. The table is no longer listed as a service.

  • Your booking and Find my booking show Table for 4, how long the table is kept, the branch and the tags. To change the number of people, customers cancel and book again or contact the restaurant.
  • Reschedule keeps the same party, and a large party’s move is a request.
  • The calendar event says Table for 4 at your business name.
  • The table’s name, number or area is never shown to customers.

See How customers book and Manage, reschedule and cancel.

  • When a plan limit stops you adding someone, a court or a branch, the app says what your plan includes. The owner can tap See plans to open Plan & usage, as on the trial-end screen and the note on Today.
  • We tell you by email and on your phone at 80% and 100% of a monthly limit, and before your trial ends. The pushes have their own group, Your plan, in More → Notifications, and open Plan & usage when you tap them.

See Plans.

Booking rules in the app

You can now change your booking rules in the app. Open More → Business profile → Booking rules.

  • Bookings need your OK, how long A request holds its time for, how far ahead and how soon customers can book, Customers can change or cancel until, Start times every and Customers can choose Anyone available.
  • Changing Customers can change or cancel until also applies to bookings already made. The app asks first when you make it longer.

See Booking rules.

Services in the app

You can now add, edit, pause and remove services in the app. Open More → Business profile → Services.

  • Add service asks for the name, how long it takes, the price, free time after and who does it.
  • Pause bookings stops new bookings. Bookings already made stay.
  • Remove service removes a paused service for good once it has no upcoming bookings. If it still has some, the app says how many and shows them.
  • A branch’s Services and prices has Add or change services.

Sports and prices for courts businesses

A sports courts business with no other services now sees Sports and prices in More → Business profile. It opens Courts, where sports, their prices and lengths are set. Services no longer offers Add service to such a business; it says your sports live in Courts and has Open Courts. See Services.

Add someone new from a branch

On a branch’s Staff, Add person now always offers Add someone new: invite them, or add just a name. They start at that branch. Add without login also lets you choose their Branches.

See Services.

Apply to all open days

Apply to all open days in opening and working hours is now off when every open day already uses the usual hours, with All open days use these hours. under it. When it resets days, the app says how many, for example Usual hours now on 2 days. See Services, hours and closures.

Pausing a branch

A branch screen now always sends the branch as it is, so a change right after saving your business address no longer says it was changed on another device. Your only open branch no longer offers Pause bookings; it says it is your only open branch instead. See Branches.

Branches in the app

You can now run more than one place from one business. Open More → Branches to add a branch and set it up in a few steps. Each branch has its own opening hours, closures, booking rules, people, services and prices. With two or more branches:

  • Today, Bookings and Analytics have a branch picker at the top, starting on All branches.
  • New booking starts with Branch.
  • A booking shows its branch, and owners and admins can Move to another branch.
  • The calendar shows Busy when a person is booked at another branch.
  • Analytics shows By branch.
  • A court can move to another branch.

For a business with one branch, the only change is the Branches row on More, for owners and admins. See Branches.

Early check-in when Start bookings early is on

With Start bookings early on, a booking later today now shows Mark as arrived as the main button and Start now under More, instead of Check-in opens at. Mark as arrived keeps the booking time. Check-in opens at the start of the booking’s day, or 2 hours before, whichever is earlier. On Today and in the list, the row’s … menu has Mark as arrived too. With the setting off, nothing changes. See Start bookings early.

A tidier More menu

More now has one Business profile row for your business, with Live or Not live yet beside it. Opening hours and your booking page are inside it, each in one place. The separate Opening hours and Booking page rows on More are gone, and so is the extra Logo row: tap the logo itself. See Business settings.

Start bookings early

When a customer arrives early and the person or court is free, your team can tap Start now. The booking moves to now, keeps its length and price, and is marked arrived. The later time opens up for someone else. The customer isn’t messaged. An owner or admin turns it on in Business profile → Booking rules. It is off until then. See Start bookings early.

Branches, behind the scenes

We prepared WelcomeBird for businesses with more than one place, in three steps. Bookings, messages and booking pages now know which branch they belong to. For now every business has one branch, so nothing looks different. Messages, owner emails and pushes will name the branch once a business has two or more. See Branches.

With this work, you can now remove a court for good. Pause it first and move or cancel its upcoming bookings. See Pause and Remove.

Clinic booking

A business in the Health group (Clinic, Dental, Physiotherapy, Aesthetic clinic, Optometrist, Veterinary) now uses its own words: patient and doctor, dentist, physiotherapist, optometrist or vet. The booking page asks for the Patient’s name, so a parent can book for a child, and offers consultations. Type a title such as “Dr.” into a doctor’s name. See Clinics.

Team: Add without login

On Team, the add button now asks Invite to the app or Add without login. Add without login takes just a name: customers can book that person, and you book for them. Nothing is sent to anyone. You can invite them to the app later. See Add without login.

Courts

A Sports courts business can now set up sports and courts in More → Courts: lengths from 30 minutes to 3 hours, a price per hour, each court’s hours and closed days, and pause or resume. Customers choose a sport, a length, a time and Any court or a court. The calendar shows one court at a time, and Analytics shows By court. See Courts.

Push notifications

The app can now tell you the moment someone books, asks to move or cancels. Owners and admins hear about every booking, staff about their own. Choose which ones in More → Notifications. See Push notifications.
