Delete your account

Delete your account

Who can do this: Owner, Admin, Staff

You can delete your account yourself, in the app or on the web dashboard. You do not need to call or email us.

Who can

Anyone with a login: owners, admins and staff. What happens depends on your role in each business.

Your roleWhat happens
Staff or adminYou leave the business now. Your login is deleted on every phone.
OwnerYour business closes now. It is deleted for good after 30 days. Log in before then to restore it.

If you are in more than one business, one request handles all of them. The app shows each business and what happens to it before you confirm.

The steps

  1. Open More and tap your name. The Account page opens.
  2. At the bottom, under Your account, tap Delete my account.
  3. Read what you lose. Tap Continue, or Keep my account to stop. How deleting works opens a short summary in the app: who is removed at once, when a business is deleted for good, and how to restore it.
  4. Confirm it’s you. Type your password. If your account has no password, tap Send code and type the 6-digit code we text to your phone.
  5. Owners only: type the name of each business that closes. Capitals and spaces do not matter. Continue works once each name matches.
  6. Check the last question, Delete your account?, and tap Delete my account.

The app then logs you out and says what happened.

On the web dashboard

The same steps work at app.welcomebird.com.

  • Owners: open Settings, then Account. Under Delete my account, choose Delete my account.
  • Admins and staff: log in. The page says the dashboard is for the business owner. Choose Delete my account under Use the app.

Then follow steps 3 to 6 above. When it is done, the dashboard logs you out, and the Log in page says what happened.

Staff and admins

When you delete your account:

  • Your login, name, phone and photo are deleted now, on every phone.
  • Past bookings show Former staff instead of your name.
  • Your upcoming bookings go to the owner, who gives them to someone else.
  • Your counter PIN is deleted.

The business keeps its bookings and customers. To come back, ask the owner to invite you again.

Owners

When you delete your account, each business you own closes now:

  • Your booking page goes offline.
  • Upcoming bookings are cancelled. Each customer gets a message.
  • A paid plan stops renewing now. You keep it until its paid end date, with no refund.
  • Unused message credits are lost when the business is deleted after 30 days. If you restore it, they stay.
  • Your team can no longer open the business.

The business, its customers, bookings, ratings and points are deleted for good 30 days later. The app shows the date before you confirm.

Restore your business

Changed your mind? Log in again before the date, in the app or on the web dashboard. While your business is closing, you see only one page: your business, the date it is deleted for good and how many days are left. On the web, choose Restore with your business name, then Restore again, and the dashboard opens.

  1. Tap Restore with your business name.
  2. The app asks once. Tap Restore.
  3. Today opens. It says Your booking page is offline. Tap Go live when you are ready.

Restore brings back your services, team, customers and settings. If you own two businesses that are closing, one tap restores both. Your booking page stays offline until you go live again. Cancelled bookings stay cancelled. A trial does not come back: the business returns on the Free plan, and a paid plan keeps its end date.

If the app says It is too late to restore, the business is already being deleted and cannot come back. If it asks you to confirm it’s you, log out, log in again, then tap Restore.

What we keep

We keep receipts as tax law requires, and totals with no names in them. Everything else is deleted.
