Offer codes
Who can do this: Your customers
When your business has an offer code running, or one that starts later, the booking page’s last step shows Offer code (optional) under Check your booking. A business with no offer code sees no field: the step looks as it always has.
The field isn’t shown for a table booking, or for a service whose price is hidden.
A customer who already confirmed their phone in the same browser tab books straight from Your details, without a new code. For them the field shows under Your details instead.
Apply a code
The customer types the code, for example RAYA20, and taps Apply (or presses Enter). Small letters are fine. The page checks the code against the service and the time they’re holding.
When the code works, the field becomes a row with the code, what it gives and the new total, for example RAYA20, RM10 off · RM 40.00. The booking summary shows an Offer row, Before the offer with the old price struck through, and the new Total. Remove takes the code off again.
For a booking of several services, the offer counts the whole booking for its minimum spend and takes its money off the services it is for. When it is for some of them only, the row names them, for example RAYA20, RM10 off Colour. A price box under the field shows the number of services and their price, the offer, and the Total. If the offer is for none of the chosen services, the page says This code doesn’t work for Haircut + Manicure. A service with a hidden price takes no code. See Several services in one booking.
The code is used only when the customer taps Confirm booking. One code per booking. A code typed but never applied is checked then too: if it doesn’t work, nothing is booked yet and the reason shows under the field.
When a code doesn’t work
The reason shows under the field, which turns red. The customer can fix the code, try another, or confirm the booking without one.
| What happened | What the customer sees |
|---|---|
| The code doesn’t exist, or is mistyped | We can’t find this code. Check the spelling. |
| The offer has ended | This code ended on Tue 6 Oct. |
| The offer starts later | This code starts on Thu 8 Oct. |
| You paused the offer | This code is paused. |
| The offer has no uses left | This code has been used up. |
| This phone number has used it already | You’ve already used this code. |
| The offer isn’t for this service | This code doesn’t work for Haircut. |
| The booking costs less than the offer’s minimum | This code needs a spend of RM 60.00 or more. |
A code can run out between Apply and Confirm booking, and whether this phone number has used it is known only after the 6-digit code. Then nothing is booked yet: the reason shows under the field, the time stays held, and Confirm booking books without the code.
A voucher from a come-back message
A come-back message can carry a voucher just for that customer, for example GLOW-K7Q2. It goes in the same Offer code (optional) field. When your plan includes come-back messages, the field says A voucher from a message has a dash, like GLOW-K7Q2. The dash matters: without it the page looks for a shared code and answers We can’t find this code. Check the spelling.
A voucher belongs to one phone number, so the page can’t check it before the 6-digit code. After Apply it says We’ll check this code when you confirm. This isn’t an error. Confirm booking checks the voucher for the customer’s phone. If it works, the booking gets its discount. If it doesn’t (another person’s voucher, used already, or past its last day), nothing is booked yet and the reason shows under the field, as for any code.
When the code can’t be checked
If the offer check doesn’t answer in time, the page says We couldn’t check the code. The shop can still apply it at the counter. This isn’t an error. The customer can still book: the code is saved on the booking as typed, at the full price, and marked not checked so your staff see it.
Send me offers
When your plan includes come-back messages, the last step also shows a tick box, Send me offers from your business’s name, with Now and then, by WhatsApp or email. Stop any time. under it. It is off until the customer ticks it. It shows for a table booking too, and under Your details for a customer who books from there.
Ticking it is the customer’s yes to come-back messages from your business only. It counts for a customer who confirmed their phone with the 6-digit code. A booking you add yourself, or a walk-in, never says yes for them. The latest booking’s answer wins: a customer who leaves it unticked next time has said no.
Stop offers
Every come-back message ends with a Stop offers link. It opens a page that asks Stop offers from your business’s name, and says that messages about their bookings, like confirmations and reminders, still come. Opening the page changes nothing. One tap on Stop offers stops them, and the page says You won’t get offers from your business. Get offers again on the same page undoes it.
Email apps that show their own Unsubscribe button use the same link, and one tap there stops offers too.
A link that is cut short, or one whose customer was removed, shows This link doesn’t work with what to do.
Stop offers stops come-back messages from your business only, for that customer. It doesn’t cancel bookings or stop their booking messages. Another business they book with keeps its own answer.
Book again
A come-back message’s Book again button opens your booking page. It works only while your business is published.
