Tables
Tables
A restaurant or café books named tables, such as T1 or T12, in place of people. A table is never a person: it has no login, isn’t on Team and never gets an invite.
Open More → Tables. Table rules comes first, then your tables, grouped by area. With more than one branch, each branch’s tables come under its name, and the branch picker at the top shows one branch or all of them.
Customers never pick a table. They choose how many people and a time, and the booking takes the smallest free table that fits. They never see the table’s name. Messages to them say Table for 4; yours also name the table.
Only owners and admins see tables and change them.
- Tables: Add tables, set their seats, area and hours, and block days.
- Pause, move and remove: Stop online bookings on a table, move it to another branch, or remove it for good.
- Table rules: How long a table is kept for each party size, clean-up time, the largest party online and the parties that need your OK.
- The night by table: See every table at a glance, free, seated, booked or held, and each table's bookings of the day.
- Seat a walk-in: Seat a party that walks in without a booking at the best free table, in a few taps.
- Large parties: Accept a request for a big party, hold more tables for it, and change how many people come.
